For Rachel

maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach(to play one day)

and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles, and

milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;

and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and

may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.

For whatever we lose(like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea

e.e. cummings

I was cleaning out Aidan's closet and found these 2 books of poems by e.e. cummings who is my favourite, and came across this poem we read in highschool.

I'm so excited that it's Friday! Yay weekend!!

Obstacle Course

Spring has reluctantly decided to start making an appearance. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining - I'm very excited that spring is on the way. Very very excited. I am SO done with all this snow everywhere! It's just the transition that I hate. The slush, flooded roads, mud everywhere, every single vehicle on the road varying degrees of brown mud, and did I mention potholes??? Obviously things aren't this bad, but it looked kind of funny. (While I was searching for a pothole picture I came across this which I think is actually real and it made me laugh. You know your roads are bad when...)

Maybe it's because the roads contract in the winter because of the cold and then expand in the summer or maybe it's because of all the huge heavy trucks that are driving on them but either way, there are TONS of potholes everywhere. It's also a little dangerous when there's water on the roads and you can't see them. The route I usually take through town to pick up Aidan (there's also a back road I could take, but I usually steer clear of it when it's super muddy or icy) has a couple stretches with some pretty decent sized potholes whose positions I have almost memorized. I'm almost to the point where I can miss every single one - provided I'm paying very close attention to the road and there aren't any huge trucks beside or in front of me spraying mud all over my windshield. Yeah it's not cool. You guys know who you are!

Aidan and Brooklynn had a blast on Sunday. I had cleaned his room so it was cleaner than it had been in awhile and also set up his train track before she came over. 15 minutes after they had gone to his room to play I peeked in and it looked like they were just trying to make the biggest mess they could. I wasn't very impressed, but I guess I should have expected it.

Brooklynn had brought a little purse with some money for the offering, so right before we walked over to church I gave Aidan a little money to put in his pocket for the offering as well. We stopped to talk to an usher and the kids dug their money out and got to be the first to put it in the offering plate which they thought was cool. Then it was upstairs to Sonshine Kids with Aidan racing ahead and showing Brooklynn where to go. I met up with Tammy who I used to work with in the foyer and it was nice to see her again!

After church Michael went up and got Aidan and Brooklynn and we went home to get some coloring books together and then headed out to lunch. I guess it's the same whenever you add one more kid to the mix but having 2 that day sure changed the dynamic! Pat came out with us and said 'this is what you guys will look like in a year!' which is weird to think of. There's 2 kids to buckle in, 2 hands to hold, 2 bruised little egos to soothe when they can't be the first or only person to open the door, 2 kids to take to the bathroom - at least they went at the same time.

They both got the exact same thing for lunch: chocolate milk, chicken nuggets and fries. Brooklynn saved her chocolate milk and hardly drank any of it, and Aidan sucked his back so fast we had to take it away so he would have some left for when his lunch came. When we went to the bathroom there was another lady in there that asked me if they were twins!! They both have white blond hair and are about the same height even though I think Brooklynn is a little older. I said oh my goodness no!! At one point I wanted twins but thank goodness that never happened - one at a time is plenty enough for me.

After lunch the plan was to go home and play outside and I was very pleased that Aidan would have someone to run around with out there, but Brooklynn decided that she didn't want to go outside, so Aidan stayed in with her. We had a mini-catastrophe when Aidan had to let Brooklynn choose which show they were going to watch and she chose Dora rather than Thomas which is what he wanted to watch. We explained to him that she was his guest so he should let her choose. They played babies with Aidan's teddy and Brooklynn's Furby, attempted to pull or push each other around in the laundry basket (I found this highly entertaining), and chased each other around the house screaming. By the time 4:00 rolled around though, Brooklynn was asking where her mom was and Aidan was anxious for her to leave so he could watch Thomas. The minute Naomi did show up, the two of them were busy asking when they could get together again :)

This coming Saturday is going to be super busy for Aidan. He's got his last Salamander swimming lesson, a long overdue haircut with Auntie Bev, a birthday party for Darlene's grand-daughter Sammy at Darlene's house with the whole daycare crew, and then a babysitter that evening while Michael and I are out. I think Sunday we're going to stay home and lie on the couch all day!! I hate making him this busy when he's so young which is why I usually try to only schedule one activity at a time and then give him some time before starting up a new one. If we had the money and I had the time and energy he could be in swimming, gymnastics, soccer, playschool, dayprograms - it's crazy just how many things he could be in at such a young age. I want him to be able to be exposed to all sorts of experiences but without getting burnt out from being in too many things!

Grande Prairie - or Baby-Making Town?

I'm not sure why I have so much to say lately. Either way, here's another post.

While I was at my doctor's appointment on Monday I overheard the receptionist talking to another patient and telling her that Dr. Kali has 42 babies to deliver in April. FORTY TWO!! That's super crazy. And that's only one out of the however many doctor's we have in this town. In the second little waiting room where you get to see the doctor, there was a little sign on the wall saying that Dr. Kali had decided to make her practice obstetrics only and that they were sorry, but other patients would have to find a new family doctor. With that kind of demand, you can see why she's doing obstetrics only. If she works only weekdays - which I think she tries her best to do - that's 2 babies per day, including Good Friday and Easter Monday. Hopefully she'll be less busy in July! That day I was there she had 2 inductions scheduled for the afternoon. That's either got to drive you crazy or be really fulfilling or both. Hopefully more of the latter for her.

I also ran into someone from church - I don't know her very well but we've talked once or twice and of course since we're both pregnant we've got a built in conversation just waiting to happen:
So you're pregnant? When are you due? That's exciting! Do you know what you're having? etc.
It turns out in our church alone, there are 20 women due by July. Come fall that little baby nursery is probably going to be VERY busy! She said in her extended family they have 3 on her side and 4 on her husband's side or something like that, so including her, there will be 8 new babies by the time fall rolls around.

And I think I've made my point about why we should change the name of Grande Prairie to Baby-Making Town.

Pink Hydrangea

Michael had told me I had a surprise waiting for me at home on Monday, but that it was nothing special...I walked in and saw he had bought me this beautiful little pink hydrangea plant - definitely something special in my opinion! I'm definitely not a plant person, so it didn't occur to me to water it until Tuesday morning when it was looking very limp. I was hoping to perk it up so that I could take a picture of it, but I forgot this morning - but it looks just like this. I'll have to find a special spot for it and also a bigger pot. I know it's not an indoor plant, but I don't want to plant it outside and then dig it up again when we move - whenever that may be.

This morning after Aidan had finished eating his muffin and was sitting on my lap he was making these weird little sounds - kind of squeaks and noises in the back of his throat - so I asked him what he was doing and he said he was talking like a muffin. I had no idea that muffins talked!

Later on I said to him 'Look how big Mommy's tummy is getting! It's pretty fat, isn't it?' and he laughed and said yes, Hagafa was getting fat but that I needed to eat my veggies. I agreed with him on that one. Although I'm not sure whether he meant that I needed to eat my veggies so that the baby would be healthy or so that I wouldn't get fat. In our ongoing quest to get him to eat veggies I told him that he couldn't just eat treats all the time because that would give him a fat tummy, he has to eat his veggies so he can grow up big and strong - so maybe he thinks that my problem is that I'm not eating enough veggies!

Thomas and Friends!

Just the other day Pat told me that he thought Thomas might be coming to town, so we looked into it and sure enough, on June 25th, Thomas and Friends are going to be putting on a show at the Crystal Centre! Aidan's pretty excited to go, even though it's still a few months away. This is Thomas' international stage debut which I assume means first show ever which is pretty cool. We have a DVD of the Bob the Builder Live! show and it looks great, so hopefully this will be the same sort of thing.
So far this week has been pretty amazing. Monday I actually worked out on the treadmill and Tuesday I came home and made enchiladas and they turned out great! Hopefully I can continue the trend today...Lately I've been feeling super exhausted all the time which is so not fun.
Aidan's little friend Brooklynn is coming over on Sunday to play and they are both very excited about it - it's very cute. Immediately after we had made arrangements for her to come over she wanted to upgrade it to a sleepover, but for now we're just sticking to daytime. Aidan's never had a sleepover with a little buddy before, I'm not sure want to start that quite this young! I should probably plan something exciting, but I think the best he'll get is help setting up one of his train sets on his train table.
He's been pretty good lately. On Tuesday I had a chicken in the slow cooker, but the idea of having chicken for dinner did not sit well with him. He can't eat anything that isn't his favourite. If he likes something he says 'Oh, I like that! That's my favourite!' and if he doesn't like something he says 'I no like that. That's not my favourite.' as if that prempts him from eating it. Once we had told him that there was no way he was getting around this one - it was chicken or nothing for dinner - he sat down and inhaled his chicken and potatoes and asked for seconds and inhaled that as well! He had it for dinner last night, and again, I've almost never seen him eat so fast! I should make chicken more often :) Michael made him a chocolate milkshake last night as well and he drank that so fast he had to stop and gulp air in between sips. It was pretty funny!

Mommy Guilt

I found this very interesting article today on msn.com - check it out here.

It was reporting on a study that tracked how much time parents spent with their children, although it sounded like it was more focused on mothers. This study went back to the 50s when most mothers stayed at home and continued to the present when a lot more mothers are trying to work outside the home as well as raise kids.

According to the results, moms now are spending almost more time with their kids than our mothers or grandmothers 40 years ago! This one researcher said that it's interesting to note that, because it would seem that no matter how much we do for our kids or how much time we spend with them etc. we always see it as not enough because we have 'mommy guilt' - especially those of us that are working outside the home. I thought that was so true - I'll admit I've got a bad case of mommy guilt. Aidan's been in daycare since he was 9 months old while I've been working pretty much full time. I see him from 7-8am and then from 5:30-7:30pm on weekdays and during those times I'm usually trying to get breakfast or dinner ready and not just sitting and doing something with him.

That's why I'm so excited to be going on maternity leave! I've never really enjoyed actually 'playing' with him and I don't think that's going to change, but I will be able to be home with him and be more involved with him - going for walks or to the park or coloring and doing crafts at home. Hopefully I can get a great paying part time job when my maternity leave is over and continue to be more involved as both these little guys grow up!

Official Date

I went to see the doctor this morning - the one that will deliver me - and now I have an official date to count down towards! July 16th - only 119 days or 17 weeks away. Pretty crazy. Put like that it seems a lot closer than how I feel right now. I'm still doing great with nothing really to complain about and I'm very thankful for that. Michael thinks I have enough baby clothes for a few babies and he might be right. Some of them are just so cute! It makes me want to have the baby right away so I can dress her up :)

Aidan is enjoying saying 'Hagafa' to everyone and anyone that will listen, it's pretty funny. This morning we slept in a little bit and then I carried him over to my bed and we cuddled a little before getting up. I had my arm around him and was yawning and I guess I forgot to cover my mouth and he said 'Don't breathe like a lion on me, Mommy!' Then we were playing Teddy, where I grab him and say 'Oh teddy!' and pretend that he's my teddy and he wasn't having any of it. He got out of bed and said 'I show you your teddy, Mommy' and picked up my bear 'THIS your teddy'. Like there was no need to pretend that he was my teddy when I had a perfectly good one right there on the floor beside the bed!

Lots More Pictures

We've got some HUGE icicles on the front of our house-they're almost this long all the way across!

Aidan pretending to have a nap with all his little teddies and big kitty
He's still pretty big into transformers. He's got a mini poster with all sorts of different transformers and he told me that he wants to buy them all!

He does this and says 'Look Mommy, I have 1 eye!' Behind him you can see our Laundry Couch. I think this was taken last weekend when we were over-run with laundry - I think we did 8 loads that week! Michael was home and amazingly we got it all put away by Sunday which was awesome.

Here's the one eye thing again.

Here he is in the changeroom all ready for swimming lessons.

These are his new goggles that he was very excited about. They were pretty hard to find, but he said they helped him and made it easier to put his face in the water. They also came in handy for protecting against big splashes. He sure made use of them - he was the only one doing big splashes and I'm sure the other kids were a little annoyed :)

I tried to take some pictures of him in the water with his class and then with one of his teachers trying to swim, and for some reason they turned out really dark.

Something else Funny

Last Sunday we got this amazing amount of snow that left us snowed in until Tuesday. Michael got out the John Deere with the sweeper attachment and cleared out our driveway and ploughed a path across the parking lot so that I could get to work on Tuesday, but wasn't able to get his car started. He called AMA to get it towed and on Tuesday a tow truck showed up and got stuck in all our snow! He saw it out there trying to get itself unstuck and then a couple minutes later another tow truck showed up to pull the first one out! Michael called me while this was happening and I asked him to take some pictures because it sounded so funny!

Michael said the second tow truck had to pull the first one out like this almost to the road because the snow was so deep!

Wanna Hear Something Funny?

I've been meaning to get in to the dentist for awhile now but keep putting it off. I finally called today to make an appointment. I figured it would be a little while to get in, but I didn't think it would be this far away!

My appointment: October 31, 2007 at 2pm.

Herbie and Hagatha

When I was pregnant with Aidan, Michael fed me this big story about how we should name our kid Herbert after his great uncle who sacrificed his time and money so that Michael's grandpa and mom could immigrate to Canada from England first (with Uncle Herbert following when he earned some more money, I presume). He told it so convincingly that I felt kind of bad but there was still no way I was naming my kid Herbert! Finally I figured out he was just stringing me along, but from then on we called the baby Herbie.

With this one, it looks like Aidan has kind of decided what she's going to be called until she's born. Michael was looking through the name book he got, trying to find the name Hagatha without any luck. He always makes fun of that name and says it HAG-atha. I don't remember whether Aidan was trying to copy him or whether he got Aidan to say it, but in the end Aidan was running around saying 'HAG-afa, HAG-afa' and it was so funny. Now every once in awhile he'll come up to me and say 'HAG-afa' in a gruff little voice and it's the funniest thing ever. Hopefully he's not too disappointed when he realizes we're not actually going to name her Hagatha!

Sometime last week I developed this weird rash on my calves that was really itchy. Michael looked it up online and it said to get 'immediate medical attention' or something like that, so then he got all worried so I had to go into the walk in clinic on Saturday morning. I also called the Health-Link number but I'll bet you could call for any reason and they would still tell you to go either into the ER or a walk in clinic. That meant that Michael took Aidan to his swimming lesson and I hung out in the waiting room and got a prescription for some cortate cream. I had been trying to convince Michael to get up and come to swimming with us and I was kind of disappointed that we couldn't go all together, but at least he was off so that I didn't have to take Aidan with me when I went to see the doctor. The rash hasn't really improved that much but at least it isn't as itchy as it once was.

Aidan was in such a good mood after swimming that we took him grocery shopping at Superstore. Swimming makes him really hungry and also really tired - he fell asleep in the car on the way home, but not in his bed during his rest which was too bad. He's actually been in a good mood for the whole past week. It's so nice when he's co-operative like that!

This morning I noticed that it had snowed again but I didn't notice how much until we went out to leave for work. There was at least a foot of snow covering the car, and as I cleared it off, I saw that underneath that was a thick covering of ice. Perfect. We've had a lot of snow in the past week, probably a bit every day, and combined with this, I wasn't sure I was going to make it out of the driveway. I figured I would see if I could get out and if I could, then I would chip the ice off - and sure enough, I got about 2 feet and got stuck. I put Aidan in the house and went out to shovel, but after about half an hour it occurred to me that the whole parking lot was the same as my driveway and I wasn't going to get anywhere! So Aidan and I are at home today. We played outside in the snow for a little bit, but I'm a wimp and got really cold after about 45 minutes so we went in for some hot chocolate. Aidan kept wanting to have snowball fights, but the snow is thick and fluffy and not very pack-able, so he would get a handful of snow and try to throw it at me, but the wind would blow half of it back in his face. It was kind of funny.

Yesterday I made some soup which is going to be just perfect for a cold snow day! It's almost lunch so I think I'm going to go warm some up for us.

Fight-Up

Aidan is still less than thrilled about the fact that we're having a girl. He still says he wants a little brother and it would have been cool to have 2 boys, but I think a little girl will be really special. There is a little 1 year old at Darlene's house named Sammy who, from what Aidan says, seems to always be doing things that require him to say 'No Sammy!' such as hitting or pushing or ripping stuff. So that might be a contributing factor. I asked him if he would beat up any kids that were mean to his little sister and he said he would 'fight-up' the bad guys. Anything that involves putting the bad guys in their place, he is totally there!

We've called him Stinker since he was a baby and it's kind of stuck even though it's no longer appropriate (most of the time). So this morning I said we were going to have another little stinker, should we call the baby stinker #2? He said he was Stinker and we could call the baby Turkey. So then I patted my stomach and said 'hi turkey' which he thought was quite funny.

Michael's picking up a name book today, so the hunt for a name is officially on! I'm excited to start looking, but I have a feeling it's going to be a long process so it's a good thing we've still got a few months! Michael and I are pretty much complete opposites in every area you can think of and it took us quite awhile to decide on Aidan's name.

Ultrasound Pictures

Today I had my second ultrasound and it went really well. The baby was in an awkward position and made it hard for the technician to be able to get the pictures he needed and also hard for him to determine the gender, but he told me what he thought it was...

This picture is kind of freaky weird because it just looks like a little skull!

One little foot. When he was showing me the different parts of the baby, he showed me a leg and it was sooooo cool because it was all tucked up and I could see the bone and the muscle and everything.
He said the baby was lying with it's head down and feet way up and it almost looked like the arms were sort of splayed out on either side.

This one is kind of a weird one. The guy apologized for not being able to get any better pictures for me because the baby was in a bad position - oh well, what can you do? It's certainly not his fault!

I asked him if he was able to figure out the gender while the baby was in that position and he said that he couldn't get a clear view, but he was fairly positive that...

It's a Girl!

Michael and I are both really excited about that but Aidan is pretty upset. In the beginning he really wanted a girl which I thought was sweet, and then all of a sudden he changed his mind and has been stuck on wanting a baby brother. Every time I mentioned the baby or told him it was a girl he said 'want a brother' in a really whiny voice and even me telling him that we can't choose what we get didn't help. Last night we were dropping off a present for a baby shower at the church and I wanted him to just look at the little baby and he completely refused. Maybe he was tired but it was just kind of strange. I had picked him up and was standing beside Lena with her baby and he turned his head away and refused to look. At least he's willing to look at the ultrasound pictures I got today. He certainly perked up when I mentioned that the baby might bring a surprise with it for him. He said maybe the baby would bring him a game, so I guess we'll have to get him a game when the baby's born :)

Things I Love to Say to Aidan

-Go pick out some clothes and get dressed
-Get yourself a yogurt/apple out of the fridge if you're hungry
-If you have to pee, then go to the bathroom

Lately I've really noticed how grown up Aidan is getting. I mean, I know he's just 3 and has a long way to go, but still. Maybe it's because I'm baby obsessed and the contrast between Aidan and the baby is going to be so big. I'm sure all of you remember me venting about Aidan's recent monster phase, but I am happy to report that it seems to have completely vanished! This past weekend we had such a good time together, it made me excited about my upcoming maternity leave. I'm planning to leave mid June, but if I can find a replacement, I might leave a couple weeks earlier because I'm sure by then I will definitely be having a dual countdown going - 1 for how many days at work left and 2 for how many days before my due date! So that means I have less than 3 1/2 months left!!

I'm not sure if it's too early for nesting, but if it isn't, it sure hit this past weekend. I even got up off the couch to go out and buy some wipes at Costco to wash my walls!! That is truly amazing. I do a tidy up every weekend, but I procrastinate anything bigger until I can't handle it anymore. My walls have been bugging me for probably over 4 months and my procrastination even went so far as to call around to a couple cleaning people to see how much it would cost. Unfortunately I was either too cheap or too broke to afford it *smiles* I only got the kitchen and the hall done, but I felt really good about it. Aidan decided he had to help me which was really sweet of him. He was mostly in the way but he stuck with it pretty much til I was finished which was quite awhile.

Michael is off this coming Wednesday and Aidan and I are both excited for him to be around again. Aidan is mostly excited because he got a package in the mail today from Auntie Amber and Uncle Jordan that Michael will have to set up. It's a learning/interactive video game thing that works with your DVD player called ZOOOOS and it looks pretty cool. They even got him an extra Thomas the Tank Engine themed game to go with it!

Baby Pictures

Before Christmas I decided that I wanted a memory stick, so I looked on eBay and found one and got Michael to buy it for me. I transferred a bunch of my stuff onto it - so that it wouldn't get corrupted on the computer - and just recently I tried to get some stuff off of it and discovered that it had corrupted my stuff!!! So then on Tuesday Michael got me this super cool titanium SanDisk Cruzer 2.0GB memory stick:

Apparently it can withstand up to 2000 pounds of pressure so I can sit on it or jump on it and nothing will happen! I wanted to see if I could drive over it without anything happening, but Michael wouldn't let me :)

Anyways, I've been busy these last couple days looking at all my baby pictures of Aidan and putting them on this thing and thought I would share some super cute ones:

1 week old
A couple weeks old
1 week old
3 months old 7 months

We must have hundreds of pictures of him! They're all so cute, it's hard to pick just a couple.

I asked Aidan if he was excited to go back to swimming lessons tomorrow and he said no. He explained to me that 'that girl' had made him put his face in the water and he had gotten water in his eyes! He was quite indignant, I had to try really hard not to laugh and I don't know if I succeeded. I told him he should be lucky that she didn't make him put his whole head under the water and that at some point he would have to learn how to do that because that was part of swimming!

nothing really in particular

I realized I haven't updated this thing since Saturday! oops. Today I got to work and came in and sat down on my chair and literally felt like I couldn't move. The weird part was, obviously I was tired when I woke up, but I got Aidan all ready and drove him to Darlene's and only really felt super crappy when I got to work. Finally after sitting there arguing with myself whether it would really hurt to just fill in the time that I started on my time card later I dragged myself up the stairs to clock in and collect the other time cards to enter. I decided I would go home after lunch and nap because there is a flu - or 3 or 4 - going around and I figured that it would be better to get some rest and nip whatever this is in the bud instead of just working through it. Then around 10:30/11 I totally started to feel better and now (12:30ish) I'm feeling fine so there's no reason for me to go home!! I was really looking forward to going home and having a nice nap and lying on the couch eating some soup. The one time I want to feel crappy and I end up feeling better!! :) Oh well, maybe I'll feel gross tomorrow and have to go home early.

The baby's been kicking a little bit more which is good. Apparently I was supposed to feel it a couple weeks ago but I'm hoping I didn't feel it for awhile because it's so small - I can hope, right? I've had to retire a couple more pairs of pants because I would feel these little kicks aimed right at where my waistband was which I thought was kind of funny.

Minor soccer registration was this week and I was really thinking of signing Aidan up because it was outdoor soccer and I didn't think it would be too expensive. I called to find out how much it was and how long the 'season' was and found out it was $100 for 7 weeks! I had a hard time deciding whether it was worth it and in the end I didn't think so. What I'm going to do instead is call some parents of kids that are Aidan's age and go to the church and maybe put together a weekly game. Nothing really structured, each week one couple can 'host' it by being in charge and being the goalies and the kids can run around with the ball. I'm hoping that there will be 5 or 6 parents that are interested and also that we can find a place to do this - so if you live up here and know a little 3 or 4 year old boy or girl that would be interested, leave a comment for me and I'll email you. I think I'm going to try to call some parents today to get the ball rolling and maybe start this thing up once all the snow goes away!

Last night we stopped on the way home to pick up a couple steaks for Aidan and my dinner. He had one in the fridge last week that I ate. I made it after he was in bed, but then he got up for some reason and saw me eating it and I could see he was a little upset, so I said we would get some new ones. We got 2 triangle marinated sirloin steaks and then I made baked potatoes and he managed to eat pretty much all his steak and potato! Usually he's the slowest eater on the planet, especially with steak, so he must have been hungry. Then I gave him a little bowl of ice cream with sprinkles which he inhaled. He was sitting on the couch next to Michael eating it so fast he had to gulp air in between bites - it was pretty funny.

Michael is (quite understandably) very upset over the Oilers trading Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders. When Aidan and I got home he made us both sit down and watch the press conference that was held at the Edmonton Airport before Ryan Smyth headed off to New York. Aidan wasn't too interested in it, even though they showed his favourite player Shawn Horcoff. When the Oilers were here for training camp earlier this year Michael took Aidan down to a meet and greet thing and a couple of the Oilers, including Shawn Horcoff, signed Aidan's jersey so when he got home and I asked who he saw he said 'Hawn'. Ever since then he's been very interested in Shawn Horcoff and now when we watch games Michael will point him out and has also taught Aidan which number he is (10). The press conference was pretty sad, Ryan Smyth was crying - it's really too bad they couldn't have worked out a deal. Hopefully come July they can work something out!
