Shop4U

So the main reason I haven't been blogging too much lately is because I've been busy trying to get my little business off the ground. I have big plans and am doing my best to turn them into reality. I'm hoping to get it going so that once my maternity leave is up I'll be able to just work on it from home instead of going back to work. If I'm working and Aidan's in Kindergarten and Keira's in daycare I see it being really stressful trying to manage all those schedules, especially with Michael's work schedule! So my idea is to offer grocery shopping services for people who are either too busy to make it to the store, don't want to drive into town, have too many kids or just don't like to grocery shop. So far I've created a facebook group, a website (http://shop4ugroceries.googlepages.com), made business cards to hand out and flyers to post around town. All of which took three times as long as I had thought! I know there are tons of people out there who would definitely use this service, I just need to connect with them! So far things are going well - all I need now are the customers :)
Anyways, that's what I've been up to lately. Feel free to check out the group on Facebook or the website and give me some feedback.

I know it's been awhile...

So here are some pictures :)

Keira loves her exersaucer!

She's not so sure about her Hippo here. Her little legs are so fat it's hard for her to sit on it :)

I love this little Joe Boxer pajama set - so cute!

She's not a big fan of the Bumbo chair - but the tray is handy for Cheerios!

She looks so proud of herself here

I went through her too big box - and it's a good thing I did! Because her little legs are so big and she's growing so fast she's already in 12-18month pants! These overalls are just adorable!

She loves to have all her toys spread out in front of her and will dig in her bucket to make sure they are ALL out on her blanket - just in case she had wanted the one at the very bottom :)

The other day she was just so extremely smiley I put her on a chair and took some pictures - and then of course Aidan wanted to be in there too. They actually posed together quite nicely.

Last Tuesday we went to Fish Place (Joey's Only) and I bought Aidan a t-shirt. He was so proud of it he wore it to bed and all day the next day.

Future Chippendale??

Bath Time

I didn't know she could do this until I tried yesterday. She hung on until the camera was ready and even managed to turn around and smile at me!

I had a little trouble getting her to fit in the bath ring because her legs are sooo fat! We had to stand her up and then put it down over her head :)

She had a pretty good time in the tub. Usually I just take her in the shower but now that she's sitting up I thought she might enjoy sitting in her bath ring

Styling some cute curlicues

Look at that peach fuzz :)

More Pictures

We bought this Transformers onesie for Keira while we were on Vancouver Island last April. It's a little big, but still looks cool.
I'll bet Aidan wishes he had one! :)

My grandmother sent me this bib that she had made as a girl. It's such a nice gift and something I'm sure Keira will appreciate when she's older

Keira's latest favourite thing to do. And she is only really happy when the WHOLE toy bin is in front of her and mostly dumped out

She's growing up so fast! I ran out of sleepers and went to Costco to buy a couple and had to get the 12 month size!

Seriously!!

I'm sitting here at the computer, literally shivering. I hate turning the heat up too high because our bill is big enough as it is. So I thought I would just check the weather...it's -35 which is horrible enough on it's own, but then there's wind. 15km/h to be exact and that makes it feel like -48!!! Seriously, where do I live??? And why do we stay???

Pictures

Okay so it's taken me forever to finally get these pictures downloaded resized etc. - here they are!!

My mom bought a gingerbread house kit for her and Aidan to build. He was so excited about it!

While we were down we went over to my Aunt Evelyn's house for brunch and had a really nice visit with her and my Aunt Sally. It's so nice to see them every time I go down. They had gotten gifts for the kids - Aidan got some alien parachute guys and this little hedgehog which he named Pineapple. Keira got a Bunnykins bowl and a Baby Einstein cd. I was really excited about the Bunnykins bowl because Aidan has the one that used to be mine when I was little and my mom just told me that my Aunts Evelyn and Sally were the ones that gave the first bowl to my mom for me!

One of the Christmas presents my parents gave Aidan was this horse. He had a great time gallopping around the kitchen and living room yelling 'Yah! Yah! Yah!' There was a little tag on his ear that said Press On/Off so I figured there had to be a place for batteries somewhere but we had been unsuccessful in locating it. Finally we found it and put some batteries in and the horse literally came to life! The Lone Ranger theme (or something like it) started playing pretty loudly, accompanied by horse whinnies and the horse's head moved up and down. Aidan was just over the moon - this was literally the coolest thing he had seen ever :) He got so much use out of it that the batteries are dead again! And the best part is what he named it: Fresh Pickle. I have no idea where that came from...but it makes me laugh. Every time he takes it out Michael says 'What's your horse's name?' about 10 times, it's such a funny name and Aidan says it so cute.

Here's Keira getting a ride on Fresh Pickle
